October was a blur. I’m not sure when it started or how I made it through. And now November is following suit! Thanksgiving is around the corner, The first three weeks of October were full of events that required a lot of energy and effort on my part, one of which, was the third annual, BECOMING WOMAN empowerment!

When I commit to anything, I put my all into it. I do nothing without desiring it to be the very best. Being a part of every part of the process is extremely important to me. I want to ensure that every integral part is being handled with the very best care so that the finished product displays a spirit of excellence.

October tested my patience, my faith, but the victories and the wins far outweighed every obstacle that presented itself. Often, we believe God to blow our minds. We pray for miracles, signs, and wonders. We pray for a sign that the path we are on, is the one that God set in motion; that we are hearing the voice of Lord when we take each step. The month of October was a month full of jaw dropping, humbling experiences, and spiritual revelations.

As we complete the last few weeks of this DECADE, I employ you to evaluate your life, your journey, your purpose and make a conscious decision to activate the below steps to see God BLOW YOUR MIND!

BELIEVE GOD!

Believe that He is not slack concerning His promises. Know that God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Know that He is faithful to perform every promise.

Days before Becoming Woman I attended Night in the Wild with Sarah Jakes Roberts. I have been following her journey and growth for years. I submitted a video to receive a $,1,000.00 grant that she along with Toyota was giving away to women in the city doing things for their community. On the way to the venue, I told God, even if I don't get the grant, I believe that You are still able to blow my mind! My words, God anyway you want to blow my mind.

What He had in store, BLEW MY MIND! I headed straight to the venue after work, so I was starving. Once I got through the pandemonium, I stopped at a vendor for some hummus and chips. Then, the host of the night came up and asked the section I was sitting in, if we listened to the Woman Evolve podcast, hosted by Sarah Jakes Roberts. The girl behind me was all for it until she was asked if she was shy. The host started looking around, I excitedly exclaimed, I will do! I can do it! I had no idea what I was excitedly agreeing to at that moment.

The Moment

I quickly found out that I would be co-hosting the Rescue Eve segment of the podcast on stage with Pastor Sarah and in front of over 500 women. I have never lost my appetite so quickly. Shakily, I called my friend, Crystal you gotta get here NOW! In a split second, it went from possibly winning a $1,000.00 grant to actually sitting on stage with a woman who I have admired for years. That moment meant more than the money, and God knew that moment was integral in what He is doing in and through me! I believed that He would blow my mind, and HE DID!

Set Your Value

October taught me to bet on myself! It taught me never to settle, to never lower my value; whether in services, spiritually, or naturally. What happens when we lower our value, even out of possible consideration of others, it will be most often viewed as an opportunity for people to take advantage of your time, your resources. Set your value and never deviate from that. Your value is not only tied to a monetary figure, but your time, your energy, your resources.

God will present opportunities for you to establish your values and what that looks like for you. He will give opportunity for you to identify exactly what that means for you and subsequently, what that looks like for others you encounter. Many times, we sell ourselves short, we low ball ourselves out of fear that our value will not be acknowledged by others. The Lord spoke to me, give your value, and if it is not recognized, that is simply not your assignment. Bet on yourself, believe in yourself, know that what you offer has value and that the right people will recognize it.

Expect the Unexpected

God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all you can ask or think according to the power that works in you (Ephesians 3:20.) I have been a first partaker of the blessings and the promises of God. Front row seat to witness him blow my mind!

This year, I moved outside of my home to host an annual women’s empowerment that I have done for the past 2 years. This year, year three, God said, expand! I want you to trust this will get bigger, that this is only the beginning. When God placed the idea in my heart, I immediately started working, planning and emailing. I did not know what that looked like, but I knew it had to be birthed. This year, God named the ministry that had been in my heart, BECOMING WOMAN. This year, God revealed to me just what He’s able to do when we partner His Word, with our action.

Becoming Woman

Becoming Woman, the women that God sent, and most importantly, God completely blew my mind. The love, support and heart of the women that attended was overwhelming. My sisters and friends that help build my team, I could not have made it happen alone. As I look at pictures for this post, my heart is melting with appreciation for what God allow me to experience.

I am humbled and grateful that God will choose me to do work for the Kingdom. It is my prayer that God continues to blow our minds and continue to reveal all that is needed as we BECOME!

As we continue to BECOME all God has predestined us to be, its imperative to know that it is a continuous process of transitions of high and lows, healing and deliverance that is a part of the journey. Becoming is not a final destination but continuously evolving into who God has created us to be.
